Overview
Measurement
plays a significant role in the field of science and technology. No scientist
or engineer is considered as a perfect scientist or engineer unless his/her
command over the knowledge of the basics of Measurement and the instruments
used to measure physical quantities. This is the fundamental of this book. The
first edition of this book appeared in 1988 and later a revised and extended
version was published in 1993. Since then there has been a large number of
advancement in the field of Measurement. With the advent of micro-processor
based intelligent devices it was felt necessary to revise the book. There were numerous other reasons to revise
the 2nd edition. Some of them are given blew.

provide in-depth coverage of advance topics for high level courses.

mathematical procedures are necessary, worked examples are provided.
